So if you’re like most busy business owners, you’ve got a lot to do with many different balls in the air. In fact, chances are, you’re pretty overwhelmed with all the opportunities and the tasks that are available to you right now.

But are you sure that you’re focusing on the most important tasks? 

In fact, most business owners get so caught up in the busy work that it’s the number one reason why they feel like they got nothing done at the end of the day.

Sure, they got a lot done. But the problem is that they did nothing to move the needle in their business. 

See, it took me years of trial and error before I came up with the simplest habit– that’s it’s doubled my productivity.

In fact, it’s a simple question that I ask myself every day, that results in me getting more done in feeling more accomplished at the end of the day. 

It’s a reason why everyone always asked me, “Charlie, how do you get so much done?” 

And so this is how.

It’s crazy, but I start each day with a pen and paper answering just this one simple question: “What is the most important thing I need to do today to reach my goal of x (whatever that is) this month?”

So for you, that might be “What’s the most important thing that I need to do today to reach my goal of a million dollars this month?”

Or maybe it could be, “What is the most important thing that I need to do today in order to reach my goal of making my business less dependent on me?” 

You see, the answer to that question makes you more intentional.

And you go from creating an ad hoc To-Do List to being laser-focused on the most important tasks you need to accomplish.

It sets priority, it gives you focus, and most importantly, you’re taking action for consistently moving the needle in your business every single day. 

So try it for yourself, get out of pen and paper and answer the question, “What is the most important thing I need to do today in order to reach my goal of whatever that might be this month?”
