Ever feel like all your marketing efforts are being ignored?

You work hard to create a website, design an advertisement, post on social media – you think you’re doing everything right but it falls on deaf ears.

No matter how hard you try, it still feels like your business is stuck.

You start to wonder if it’s the economy…

Or maybe your customers just aren’t interested in you.

It’s like no one even sees you.

Well, I’ve got some good news. Not only can I tell you how to stop being ignored, but I’ll also give you 3 proven tips and tactics for getting your marketing message read and your customers buzzing about you in no time.

1. Are You Talkin’ To Me?

Believe it or not, most of the time your message is getting ignored because they just can’t hear you or see you.

Your prospects are being inundated with marketing messages in every form, from the moment they wake up until the moment they go to bed (and, heck, it’s only a matter of time before someone figures out how to screw with your brainwaves to bring you commercials while you’re sleeping!).

They’ve been desensitized.

It’s like walking into a busy subway station waiting for the next train to arrive.  There’s a huge crowd and everyone is talking – and you just slip into oblivion tuning all the noise out.

Then all of a sudden you hear someone shout out your name.

You turn around and look to see who it was…

Marketing works the same way.

Unless you specifically call out who you’re talking to – people will ignore you.

2. Wear Purple

In Seth Godin’s book, Purple Cow, he says nobody notices a brown cow because they all look the same – now put a purple cow in the pasture and everyone will pay attention.

Similarly, one of the best ways to position yourself as somebody different… is to begin with your marketing.

For example, our friends at 3DMailResults offer many different ways to make your mailing stand out with boomerangs, trashcans, “message in bottle,” and more.

But even if you’re marketing on the radio, email, or social media – instead of pitching them with a “buy this!” – focus first on establishing a trusted relationship with maybe a free special report, download, recording, webinar, etc. that will offer people immediate value before they have to open their wallets.

There are MANY more ways to stand out – at least 100 I can think of offhand – and if you’re interested in learning more, we’ll cover more details inside next month’s Predictable Profits Insiders’ Club Newsletter.

3. Try to Get Your Whisper Heard

Think about this for a second – right now – you’re probably getting ready to check your Facebook, wondering whether or not you should share this post on Twitter… Oh, guess what, an email just came in (you want to check that too).

You’re distracted.

…and your prospects are too.

There’s so much noise out there, people just don’t have the time (or attention) to sort everything out.

So rather than trying to scream our message in a competitive environment, why not deploy a few marketing strategies that will capture your prospects attention with a lot less effort?

Strategies like direct mail, joint ventures, our Customer Re-Engagement Strategy, and referral systems are all examples of techniques that work… that nobody is doing.

When you look around and see how much “advertising vomit” is just tossed at you, the idea of your quality marketing message getting ignored is a hard truth to accept.

Most of us have heard one successful person or another say they “did whatever it took” to become successful, and in almost every case, it’s because they took the road less traveled.

If you’re going to be successful in marketing, you’ve got to do the stuff nobody else is doing and look where nobody is looking.

Believe that your product/service can enrich the lives of the people and businesses who take full advantage of what you’re offering.

Accept that if you are offering a greater advantage and greater benefit to someone, and you’re not doing everything you can to get them to invest in you – you’re not only doing them a disservice, you’re doing yourself one as well.

So it’s time to think differently, be interesting, and know that it’s okay to buck the “status-quo.”

And I’ll happily help where I can.

In your corner,

Charlie
