Ep #18 – My guest for this episode is Ryan Tansom, the podcast host of “Life After Business,” a keynote speaker, investor, and the co-founder of Arkona and the GEXP Collaborative. After turning around his family’s business, Ryan helped to sell it along with his father for over 8-figures in 2014. During this exit process, he learned a ton after making mistakes that left millions of dollars on the table.
Since that experience, Ryan has taken what he’s learned and now helps other entrepreneurs to avoid these mistakes by guiding them to get clarity around what they want and control over how to get it. Ryan is dedicated to helping the business community and has devoted much of his life, since his company’s sale, to figuring out ways to help owners understand the world of mergers and acquisitions. He wants business owners to realize what it means to grow and sell a company while enjoying the ride and being proud of how all the chips fall.
In today’s interview, we dive into Ryan’s story and touch on some of the exit strategies that he learned. If you’d like to go deep into creating a business growth and exit plan, I would suggest listening to Ryan’s podcast called “Life After Business.” Ryan created this podcast with the mission of leveling the playing field for entrepreneurs by bringing them all the information business buyers and top industry advisors already know. When you have this information at hand, you will be able to control your own exit.
